Whether you have a few hours a month, or a large chunk of time all at once, Adopt A Special Kid has many opportunities for volunteers to get involved.

Help out at an event: Whether it’s a picnic with lots of activities for kids or a benefit to raise funds for AASK’s programs, our events are driven by the passion of our volunteers.  Contact us and we’ll let you know when the next one is!

Parent Recruiting: Know your community well?  Have contacts in businesses, churches or community organizations? Friendly and extroverted? Help AASK find prospective adoptive and foster parents by posting recruitment material, obtaining speaking engagements or sharing other helpful contacts.

Board of Directors: Do you like to solve problems, work as a member of a team and have 8-12 hours a month? Please consider joining our Board of Directors, an essential part of providing quality services to children needing homes. AASK particularly welcomes interest from:

• the African-American, Latino and LGBT communities

• communities of faith

• individuals with business or fundraising experience

Do you or your business provide products or services for families or children?  Toys, gift certificates, free or low-cost events are a great way to help our parents connect with their kids and each other, and have fun at the same time!
